What is subclass 190?

Subclass 190 is a skilled nominated visa for skilled workers who are nominated by a State or Territory Government Agency. It is points based and allows you to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident

Suitable skills assessment for occupation
Under age of 50
Competent English
Meet points requirement
Nominated by a State or Territory Government Agency


In December 2015 my wife and I decided to relocate our family from the UK to Australia. As the process is costly, we decided to not use a migration agent unless we really got stuck – relying instead on online information and forums to get us through.
